This role is an exciting opportunity to join our payroll team as a highly skilled Payroll Lead.

As a Payroll Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately, on time, and in line with legislative and enterprise agreement requirements. You will be our go-to subject matter expert for all things payroll, supporting a high-performing team while driving process improvements and compliance.

About The Role

In this newly created position, you will manage end-to-end processing for fortnightly and monthly payrolls. Your expertise in Chris21 & Aurion systems will ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all aspects of payroll operations.

  • You will act as a point of escalation for complex payroll and employee queries, providing timely and accurate responses to support our employees and stakeholders.
  • Preparing and lodging payroll tax, superannuation, and WorkCover reports will be one of your key responsibilities, ensuring our compliance with Fair Work legislation, ATO regulations, and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Maintaining up-to-date payroll procedures, policies, and training guides will also be your task to ensure seamless operation of our payroll processes.
  • You will partner with HR and Finance to ensure data accuracy and workflow efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
About You

We are looking for a well-experienced Payroll Lead with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and departments. You should have a proven ability to lead and mentor team members while handling high-volume payroll in fast-paced environments.

  • Solid experience in end-to-end payroll processing in Aurion and Chris21 is essential for this role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, EBAs, tax, and superannuation is required to excel in this position.
  • Exceptional accuracy, problem-solving, and analytical skills are necessary to ensure the successful delivery of payroll services.
