The role of the Aboriginal Community Wellbeing Worker is a critical component of our Suicide Prevention and Early Intervention in Mental Health (SEWB) team. This position plays a pivotal role in promoting initial and continued access to holistic primary healthcare services.
This key worker will engage with clients to provide outreach services, including planned transports and service brokerage. They will also provide cultural input to service delivery, client support for healthcare follow-ups, and advocate for clients' healthcare needs. Additionally, they will follow up on missed appointments and provide short-term case management.
As part of this position, there will be opportunities to attain qualifications in areas such as alcohol and other drugs, community services, or mental health. We are committed to supporting your professional development and providing ongoing training and education.
