Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at ISS Integrated Serv P/L. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to our HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems, and identify areas for improvement.
- Staff Safety and Wellbeing: Discuss, monitor, and assist staff in the safe delivery of onsite activities, and provide coaching and mentoring on HSEQ processes.
- Safety Audits and Investigations: Undertake and advise on safety audits, and assist with incident investigations and preparation of safety reports.
- Environmental Management: Manage the environmental portfolio, covering all legislative and contractual requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Provide sound technical advice, and facilitate best practice standards and solutions, while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV OH&S or Higher: Possess a relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Industry Experience: Have relevant industry experience as a HSE Advisor, with a strong understanding of safety systems and databases.
- Legislative Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation, and have a strong understanding of environmental management principles.
- Travel and Availability: Be able to undertake regular travel to site as per FIFO roster, and have a current Coal Board Medical and Pre-Employment Functional Assessment.
