Position OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and dynamic Health and Safety Coordinator, a pivotal senior role, contributing to enhancing the health and safety culture and outcomes in alignment with business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and monitor port security services, maintaining accurate records and advising the Manager on system improvements.
- Oversee emergency response processes, ensuring proper documentation, resources, training, and equipment are in place.
- Monitor incident management processes, ensuring adequate documentation and capability.
- Ensure compliance in the handling of hazardous chemicals and materials.
- Advise business stakeholders on the application of all Health and Safety processes.
- Tertiary qualifications or a Diploma in Workplace Occupational Health and Safety.
- Experience in a similar role, preferably within a heavy industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland Workplace Health and Safety Legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional and supportive relationships.
