We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our catering team as a Support Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional services to our residents.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive environment where residents can express their food preferences and choices. This includes preparing nutritious meals that meet individual needs, ensuring cultural, religious, and dietary preferences are respected, and maintaining a safe and clean living environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the Chef/Cook to support service delivery.
  • Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual resident needs, including special dietary requirements, allergies, and culturally specific requests.
  • Maintain environmental service standards and ensure the residents' living environment is safe and clean.
  • Ensure all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program, including completing food safety records and preventing cross-contamination.
Key Requirements
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Able to prioritise workloads and commit to continuous quality improvement.
  • Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
  • Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment.
  • Previous experience with Australian food safety standards desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety desirable.
  • Food Handling Certificate desirable.
