Production Leadership Opportunity

The successful candidate will oversee a skilled team of tradespeople, ensuring all processes are optimised for efficiency, quality, safety, and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workshop Operations Management: Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of cabinet makers, CNC operators, assemblers, and apprentices, conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Quality Assurance and Control: Implement and maintain high-quality manufacturing standards across all joinery and furniture outputs, conduct inspections and audits to ensure accuracy, finish quality, and compliance with drawings and client expectations.
  • Maintenance and Procurement: Ensure all machinery is maintained and operating efficiently, liaise with maintenance providers, and manage procurement of tools, consumables, and workshop supplies in coordination with internal teams.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with WHS legislation, conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings, and ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a production management role within a custom joinery, furniture, or fitout manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach and a focus on team development.
  • In-depth understanding of joinery construction methods, materials, and workshop processes.
