Asset Financial Officer Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Asset Financial Officer to provide high-level technical and financial support in the implementation of asset management across our organization.

  1. Support the delivery of our asset management objectives by maintaining accurate financial records and systems related to capital works and asset revaluations.
  2. Perform end-of-year asset financial activities and ensure timely reconciliation of transactions within the Asset Management System.
  3. Access and analyse data across asset and finance systems to support reporting, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  4. Assist with the completion and financial closure of capital works projects, ensuring compliance with internal processes and timelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial and asset management, holding an Advanced Diploma or higher in Accounting, Asset Management, or Program Management. They will bring relevant experience and a practical understanding of financial systems and processes.

A current Driver Licence and Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration are essential for this role. The successful candidate will thrive in a high-volume environment, have a keen eye for detail, and bring a positive, can-do attitude to their work.
