The role will involve working across various industries, including energy, agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services, providing legal guidance to clients on large transactions, business contracts, and agreements.

To succeed in this position, you must be proactive in working with new clients and collaborate with a highly skilled team to deliver exceptional results.

The WRP team prioritizes the career growth and development of its lawyers, investing in continuous professional development while advising clients on asset acquisitions, distributions, new ventures, greenfield projects, and general commercial and corporate advisory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, including sales, purchase, supply, and project agreements.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis to provide guidance on various legal matters.
  • Assisting in negotiating and structuring complex commercial transactions.
  • Providing legal advice on corporate governance and compliance.
  • Preparing legal opinions and memoranda on legal issues affecting commercial clients.
  • Ensuring high-quality legal services for clients.
  • Collaborating with other practice areas and legal professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of post-admission experience is desirable.
  • Completion of tertiary education and admission to practice in Australian jurisdiction.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial and contract law, as well as regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical skills to provide practical solutions for complex legal issues.
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Excellent drafting, attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
