About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Employment Lawyer or Employment Law Advisor to work with a supportive and collaborative team of lawyers and support staff. You will have the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging matters, providing practical strategic advice to clients across all facets of employment law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working with employers on employment law matters, including performance management, termination, redundancies, workplace bullying, and sexual harassment
  • Providing advice on employment contracts and workplace policies, and negotiating/drafting enterprise agreements
  • Defending clients in litigation matters, such as unfair dismissal, general protection, discrimination, and underpayment claims
  • Undertaking workplace investigations for clients
  • Managing your own matters under supervision and working directly with clients to deliver excellence and build strong ongoing relationships
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience working in employment law with employers in Australia
  • Genuine passion for employment law and being a true specialist in this area of law
  • Strong work ethic and excellent time management and communication skills
  • Proactive approach to delivering practical solutions to solve complex legal issues within client time frames
  • Knowledge/experience to provide sound advice to clients in meetings or telephone conferences
