Water Infrastructure Specialist

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Water Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Water team, you will play a critical role in delivering sustainable water solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement hydrological and hydraulic flood models to inform water management decisions.
- Contribute to the development of water balance models for complex systems.
- Provide technical inputs for proposals and reports.
- Mentor and manage junior engineers to ensure their growth and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver flood impact assessments and flood risk management plans.
- Work on climate change adaptation, water optimization, and resilience-related projects.
- Coordinate and verify designs, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.
- Contribute to the growth and development of the team, as well as internal and external relationships.
- Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field related to water engineering.
- Experience with modeling software such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, or RAFTS.
- Programming skills, including Python.
- Water balance programs, such as GoldSim.
- GIS experience, including ArcGIS, QGIS, or MapInfo.
- Understanding of ARR2019 guidelines.
- Experience in several facets of the project lifecycle, from tendering and concept design to construction.
- Demonstrated self-management and ability to work autonomously.
- Experience working with a variety of clients.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, regulations, and legislation.
- Desire to work collaboratively in a high-performing team environment.
- Ambition to grow technical skills and personal influence.
