About the Role

The Australian Wool Exchange Limited (AWEX) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation in its strategic direction and operations. As the CEO, you will be responsible for the overall management of the organisation, including staff, assets, and resources. You will also provide high-level advice and support to the board, ensuring informed decision-making and a consistent approach to strategic directions and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement corporate and operational policy, programs, and projects
  • Manage high-performing teams and develop a strong culture of positive performance
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with diverse stakeholder groups across multiple geographies
  • Drive collaboration with industry partners and develop strong business relationships
  • Develop and implement high-quality business plans, budgets, and strategies
Requirements
  • Proven track record of success at CEO or Senior Executive level within the agriculture sector
  • Knowledge and experience in the development, implementation, and management of corporate and operational policy, programs, and projects
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage high-performing teams
  • Experience in governance and the development and implementation of high-quality business plans, budgets, and strategies
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to drive business growth
