About this role

As a People Advisor, you will provide expert guidance and coaching to business partners and employees on generalist HR/people issues. This includes ensuring that HR practices align with policies, processes, and relevant legislative requirements.

You will have a strong focus on employee relations and performance management. To succeed, you must be customer-focused and embody our organisational values.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide sound advice in workforce planning, employee onboarding, performance management, award interpretation, employee relations, reward and recognition, retention, and talent identification.
  • Facilitate contract generation, onboarding, and probationary actions for new employees.
  • Complete reporting, documentation, and administrative tasks following standard procedures.
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims, including supporting recover at work actions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A degree or tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a similar field.
  • Previous experience in fast-paced generalist HR environments.
  • Sound knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks governing employee relations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation delivery and coaching.
  • Strong conflict resolution and investigative skills.
