Our team is seeking a highly skilled Agronomy Professional to join us in our Deniliquin Branch. This role will see you build and maintain strong relationships with clients, helping them achieve their business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite agronomic and technical support to clients to recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Achieve allocated financial objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management.
  • Promote branch staff upskilling by providing technical advice and product recommendations.
  • Develop and foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients.
  • Identify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients.
  • Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work.
  • Lead and mentor the rural products sales team to build strong client relationships, promote beneficial products, and enhance business success.
  • Manage branch retail operations to exceed targets and monitor rural products performance against key metrics.
  • Source new business opportunities to expand market share and assist in setting retail sales targets and business planning.
  • Provide product expertise, oversee sales transactions, and coach the sales team to achieve individual and branch targets while supporting national initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to embrace industry research and new technology.
  • Passion for effecting real change for both clients and communities – with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work.
  • Background in disciplines such as pasture and broadacre.
  • Proven track record in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role.
  • Qualification in Agronomy aiming to grow expertise while managing a rural products team.
  • High level customer service skills and ability to cultivate relationships with potential and current growers.
  • Tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field.
