Job Title: Mechanical Team Leader - Corrugator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Team Leader to join our team at Opal Fibre Packaging ANZ. As a Mechanical Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical fitters and contractors in the maintenance and repair of our corrugator equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • First responder for corrugator and associated equipment breakdowns
  • Act as second responder for site breakdown coverage
  • Ensure timely action and satisfactory completion of AM work as specified by OEMs
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams
  • Provide job planning support to the site Maintenance Planner, including scoping and job kitting
  • Effectively assist in leading the team of mechanical fitters, contractors, and other support staff on a daily basis
  • Play a key role in continuous improvement of processes and execution of efficient corrugator preventative maintenance practices
  • Assist with ordering components and liaise with external stakeholders as necessary (with appropriate approval)
  • Provide reasonable site support outside of normal working hours as required
  • Deputise for Mechanical Supervisor when required
Requirements:
  • Strong fault-finding skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and show initiative
  • Experience working in corrugated packing (desirable but not essential)
  • Keen, energetic individual with a good eye for detail and a hard-working ethic
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
