About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Team Leader to join our team at Opal Fibre Packaging ANZ in Scoresby, Victoria. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our corrugator and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve Corrugator and associated equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans, including job planning and scoping, to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Mechanical Fitters, Contractors, and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to source components and materials, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
  • Provide on-call support outside of regular working hours, ensuring the continuity of operations.
Requirements
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Experience working in corrugated packaging or a related industry, with a solid understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and safety.
