We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Worker to join our Neighbourhood Teams and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

About the Role

  • Assist clients with daily tasks, self-care activities, community participation, skill development, and more.
  • Support clients in developing new skills and knowledge, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and carers to identify and achieve individualised goals.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, using computers and online systems to deliver quality support.
  • Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and diversity, promoting an environment that values individual differences.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities, preferably in a support or care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality support, prioritising client-centred care and empowerment.
  • An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) principles and practices.
