Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geology Technician to assist in the collection and processing of geological samples. This is a residential opportunity working a 5/2 4/3 roster.

As a Geology Technician, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our core Values and contributing to our collective success. You will be responsible for metre marking, photographing, cutting and sample collection of diamond core, as well as transporting samples to the offsite laboratory if necessary.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for storing and accurately cataloguing diamond core in the core farm, maintaining pulp and core library catalogues across the site, and ensuring sample submissions are completed in a timely manner with no errors.

Requirements
  • A current C Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
  • Current approved and recognised forklift ticket
  • Computer literacy with the ability to use Microsoft office products
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to plan daily activities and meet deadlines
  • St Johns Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Mechanical knowledge and skills (desirable)
