ASC, Australia's sovereign submarine company, plays a pivotal role in delivering critical capabilities to the Royal Australian Navy. As an Infrastructure Project Manager - Capital Works, you will be instrumental in achieving this goal.

About the Opportunity

You will report directly to the Capital Works Manager and be responsible for managing capital procurement and engineering projects from inception to completion. These projects are crucial in enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of facilities and infrastructure supporting the submarine business. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to the maintenance team on engineering issues and problem-solving breakdowns as needed.

This is a 1-year fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop project scopes and technical specifications for facilities upgrade and improvement projects through design principles.
  • Review quotes and tenders from suppliers, ensuring fit-for-purpose project solutions.
  • Manage contractor delivery, conduct site inductions, permits to work, and ensure compliance with ASC's WHS&E policies and external legislative requirements.
  • Support the Facilities Department in daily activities related to site facilities management.
  • Ensure compliance with reasonable instructions from the Capital Works Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Holding Engineering Degree qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • Expertise in providing technical support, project support, and project management for facility development.
  • Strong experience in infrastructure, plant, and equipment installation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in safely managing facilities projects within schedule, cost, and quality boundaries.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 per annum
