Job Role Overview

The Security Officer position plays a pivotal role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors. This permanent full-time role requires a dedicated and professional individual who can respond to emergencies, manage incidents and support hospital operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other staff members to assist with managing patients, providing assistance to visitors, and protecting staff and securing assets.
  • Focusing on early identification, prevention and management of incidents, upholding the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.
  • Work independently within a multidisciplinary team, using effective written and verbal communication skills to support teamwork and accurate record-keeping.
  • Apply security techniques such as conflict resolution, de-escalation, and restraint, while working across a 7-day rotating roster.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A valid NSW Security Licence in accordance with the NSW Security Industry 1997 Class 1A, First Aid Certification and an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
  • Demonstrate experience applying security techniques, electronic security systems, computer literacy, and working independently within a team.
