Job Description:

We are looking for someone who can manage a team of professionals and ensure that our data services meet the needs of our customers. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, experience in project management, and a strong understanding of metadata standards and use.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in marine science and/or information systems management;
  • Extensive experience of information management issues and technologies;
  • Ability to lead, motivate and train team members;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience of distributed data systems, metadata standards and use, data exchange protocols and methods, and spatial/geographic information systems.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will be employed on a full-time, fixed-term basis (2.5 years). The total remuneration package includes a base salary within the range of $108,795 to $115,264 plus 17% superannuation.
