Job Title

The role of Senior Business Services Accountant is a key position within our organization, responsible for managing and maintaining client portfolios, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Portfolio Management: Ensure effective management and maintenance of client portfolios to meet business needs.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for clients, including income tax returns and entity-specific accounts.
  • Compliance Obligations: Manage and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including income tax, GST, superannuation, land tax, and stamp duty.
  • Taxation Advice: Provide expert taxation advice to clients, including preparation and review of taxation strategies.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models, budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to support business decision-making.
  • Client Solutions: Deliver exceptional client service by providing tailored accounting and taxation solutions to meet individual needs.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and train staff members to enhance their skills and expertise, contributing to the overall success of the team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Qualifications:
  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Skills:
  • Proven experience in public practice, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing and mentoring staff.
  • Expertise in financial statement preparation, taxation advice, and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
