Occupational Therapist Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at a specialist education provider in the Northeast.

This role involves delivering high-quality therapy to students with physical, sensory, and learning needs, collaborating with staff, families, and external professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored interventions for individual students' needs.
  • Support learners with disabilities to engage in education and daily living activities.
  • Create and review therapy programs, contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans.
  • Integrate therapy into the curriculum, working collaboratively with teaching staff.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, contributing to service development.
About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A recognized Occupational Therapy qualification and be HCPC-registered.
  • Experience working with young people with disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A creative approach to therapy that prioritizes student-led outcomes.
  • A passion for empowering young adults to live more independent lives.
