Event Coordinator Job Description

Minor Hotels is a leading international hotel owner, operator, and investor with a diverse portfolio of over 530 properties across the globe. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Event Coordinator to join our team at Oaks Port Douglas Resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage events from conception to completion, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and team members to understand their needs and preferences, and develop tailored event solutions.
  • Coordinate logistics, vendor selection, and budgeting to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, checklists, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Oversee on-site event execution, ensuring everything runs according to plan and client expectations are met.
  • Handle post-event evaluations and feedback to improve future events and enhance client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination, with a strong understanding of logistics and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Ability to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Availability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
