The University seeks a highly skilled and motivated professional to lead its digital preservation program, driving continuous improvement of the digital preservation service and ensuring long-term management of digital assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business cases for digital preservation initiatives.
- Plan and execute workflows for ingesting and preserving digital assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the institution to enhance digital preservation capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with academic and professional staff on good practices in long-term stewardship of research data and digital assets.
- Lead collaborative processes to review and improve digital assets management, preservation processes, repository standards, and good practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in digital preservation, including experience with workflow development, system integration, and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to advise and support academic and professional staff.
- Knowledge of digital preservation standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with institutional repository systems and their application in digital preservation.
