About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equity Researcher to join our Australia Healthcare team at Goldman Sachs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of individual companies and their equities within the Healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and publish research reports on Healthcare sector stocks, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to clients.
  • Initiate sales calls and marketing investment opinions to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce regular reports summarizing findings and predictions, as well as contribute to overall sector views and pieces.
  • Develop financial models and interpret data and analysis on market, economic, and political events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Equities sales force, traders, clients, and companies' management.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members to build technical and soft skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 years of equity research experience covering the Healthcare sector stocks.
  • PhD, Masters, or Bachelors in Biology, Medical degree, or Economics/Finance/Accounting, and CFA qualification.
  • Strong understanding of the ANZ Healthcare sector and macro economy.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent modeling skills and a solid grounding in accounting/financial fundamentals.
  • Highly analytical thinker and writer.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing situations.
  • Well-developed commercial attitude and client marketing/relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrable time management and prioritization skills.
