Design Engineer Opportunity

UGL is seeking a Design Engineer to join our team based onsite at Endeavour Energy's Glendenning Office. As a key member of our skilled and collaborative team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and supporting energy solutions that have a lasting impact.

  • Deliver timely and high-quality technical designs, documentation, and scopes aligned with industry and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams to meet project objectives
  • Manage and support design reviews, liaising with stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Partner with field staff during and after commissioning to refine and improve designs
  • Drive innovation by contributing to standardised and sustainable design solutions

About the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline)
  • 5+ years of experience in secondary design for high-voltage substation projects of around 132kV
  • Strong knowledge of standards (e.g. AS 2067, IEC 61850) and solid technical documentation experience
  • Experience in SCADA and protection systems design
  • Construction White Card and valid C Class Driver's Licence
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design applications
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively
