Primary Teacher Education Opportunity

This role is a key component of our University's commitment to excellence in education, with a focus on delivering innovative teaching approaches and contributing to curriculum design.

As a Primary Teacher Education professional, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering high-quality teaching programs for primary education;
  • Coordinating units and courses, as well as contributing to curriculum design and assessment practices;
  • Supervising students undertaking Honours, Masters, and PhD research projects;
  • Building a research profile through publications, conference participation, and grant applications;
  • Engaging in higher degree supervision and contributing to the School's research excellence;
  • Participating in governance, planning, and external partnerships, as well as supporting inclusion and diversity initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A completed doctorate in Education or a closely related field;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver innovative, high-quality teaching approaches, assessment, and materials for units and courses;
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching Mathematics, Science, or English in a primary teacher education course;
  • Track record of excellence in research evidenced by peer-reviewed journal articles;
  • Evidence of successful supervision or co-supervision of HDR students;
  • Experience participating in professional and scholarly activities promoting research and/or education outcomes with government and industry.
