Special Education Support Professional

The Special Education Critical Staffing role at Stephen Knolls School requires a dedicated professional to support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical support to students.
- Assist with personal care and medical needs of students.
- Work effectively with students who display physical and/or verbal aggression.
- Participate in learning activities off campus.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with children, young adults, and staff. A passion for supporting students with special needs is essential.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or higher; Associate's degree may be accepted if accompanied by relevant experience.
- Coursework including education-related topics such as behavior management, instructional strategies.
- One year of experience working with students in structured educational settings preferred.
Candidates should have knowledge of child development, instructional strategies, and policies of the educational institution. They will also assist in implementing the instructional program and monitoring student behavior.
Working ConditionsThis position requires standing, walking, kneeling, running, and lifting objects/equipment up to 50 pounds. Flexible scheduling and change of location/program may be required.
