Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Melbourne, with a focus on delivering exceptional technical advice and supporting the growth of our business in Australia and New Zealand. This is an ideal opportunity for a Chartered Accountant looking to take their career to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate periodic reporting, managing key deliverables with various teams across the business, and working closely with the Head Office team in France. They will also prepare recurring financial management reports, identify areas for process improvement, and drive implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Period End Process Management: Manage key deliverables with all teams across the business in ANZ, submission of financial results to the parent entity, and close collaboration with the Head Office team in France.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring financial management reports, ensuring timeliness, compliance, accountability, and accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for changes or continuous improvements in processes, develop cases for change, and drive implementation.
  • Financial Operations Support: Assist the FOM to manage the Financial Operations of the business, ensuring accurate data recording, complete and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations with regular follow-up.
  • Tax Compliance: Support the Mars Tax & Treasury team with tax compliance and requests for information for various Audits.

About You:
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Commerce.
  • You are CPA/CA qualified.
  • You have strong attention to detail and a drive for meeting deadlines.
  • You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude.
  • ERP experience is desirable.
