We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to deliver quality case management to a complex caseload of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal prisoners on parole, including the highest priority violent prisoners on parole, Serious Violent Offenders, under correctional supervision.
- This involves working autonomously to ensure that the management of prisoners on parole under supervision are case managed in line with the Corrections Victoria Offender Management Framework.
The successful candidate will contribute to a strengthened and integrated risk assessment and management framework, including the transition process from imprisonment into the community, through developing strong links with Aboriginal agencies and maintaining close partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality case management services to a diverse group of clients.
- Develop and implement effective plans to manage the risk posed by prisoners on parole.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to inform decision-making.
Requirements:
- A detailed understanding of both the Victorian Aboriginal society and culture, and the issues impacting on it.
- Experience in achieving client outcomes through advanced case management of highly complex individuals, including proven needs assessments and intervention skills.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality reports for key internal and external stakeholders.
