**Job Overview:**

The Head of Music Ensembles is a key role that oversees the development and implementation of music ensembles within our college. This position involves teaching the NESA Stage 4-6 Music curriculum.

  • This is a leadership role that requires strong emotional intelligence, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • The successful applicant must be able to provide evidence of their personal Christian faith, contemporary learning practices, and experience in collaborative leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of all college ensembles P-12, including innovation and development of new ensembles and strategic improvement of current programs.
  • Communicating direction to conductors, ensemble leaders, and sectional tutors.
  • Conducting some ensembles and processing invoices for ensemble tutors.
  • Oversight of instrument hire systems, Apra/Amcos copyright regulations, and assisting curriculum goals through the ensemble program.
  • Engaging and increasing student participation in music ensembles.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Secondary teaching qualifications in Music & accreditation in NSW (NESA).
  • Conducting experience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
