About the Opportunity

The role of Timber Category Manager oversees the optimisation of timber procurement strategy and supply chain across all Australasian operations. With 22 manufacturing sites consuming timber, this position has a significant impact on VENTORA's success.

This strategic position is responsible for sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationship management for timber and timber-related products. It ensures that we are in line with market trends, quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainable supply, operational demands, customer needs and evolving compliance requirements.

Success in this role will be measured by driving continuous improvement, cost optimisation and the reliable availability of timber inputs for VENTORA's manufacturing and sales functions.

The role can be based at any of our sites located in Girraween, Macquarie Park or St Marys, NSW, Dandenong South or Rowville, VIC or Staplyton, QLD.

About the Role

We are looking for expertise in Timber category with understanding of timber markets, global supply trends and compliance requirements. A strong analytical capability and commercial acumen are essential.

You should have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement e.g. APICS or CIPS along with Business, Commerce or equivalent.
  • experience in management of third party carriers, international freight and customs processes
  • skilled negotiator in securing high-quality materials at competitive prices
  • proven to achieve results in cost and process efficiency
  • technological aptitude with the ability to leverage data and procurement tools for decision-making
