Timber Category Manager: Australasia

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Timber Procurement Specialist to lead our timber procurement strategy and supply chain across Australasian operations.
This strategic role oversees sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationship management for timber and timber-related products, ensuring we are in line with market trends, quality, cost-effectiveness, sustainable supply, operational demands, customer needs and evolving compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost optimisation and the reliable availability of timber inputs for our manufacturing and sales functions.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for timber procurement and supply chain management.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions to achieve results in cost and process efficiency.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Procurement or equivalent.
- Experience in management of third party carriers, international freight and customs processes.
- Skilled negotiator with a strong analytical capability and commercial acumen.
- Technological aptitude with the ability to leverage data and procurement tools for decision-making.
