Maternity Care Specialist

This is a casual opportunity for a skilled maternity care specialist to provide women-centered care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing best practice evidence, deliver high-quality maternity care in collaboration with individuals and the healthcare team.
  • Provide supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve person-focused quality care.
Requirements:
  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Midwife.
  • Competencies in and knowledge of the complexities involved in caring for women and babies within a multidisciplinary context.
  • Effective clinical communication through information technology, written, and verbal means, along with sound interpersonal skills to interact with others professionally.
  • Application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for individualized woman-centered care with a commitment to quality improvement.
  • Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate to deliver quality midwifery care with a willingness to show leadership and adapt to change in the coordination and delivery of care.
  • Recent clinical experience relevant to the position, including evidence of participation in professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancing skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload while delivering care with integrity and accountability.
