Warehouse Management Role

The role of warehouse manager is a crucial position that oversees the efficient operation of our warehouse. This entails ensuring compliance with best practices and health & safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, and maintain an efficient warehouse operation by managing warehouse space and mechanical handling equipment to meet quality, budgetary, and environmental objectives.
  • Oversee receipt, inspection, storage, order assembly, and distribution of stock to customers and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to implement initiatives that improve efficiency and service levels.
  • Ensure accuracy and condition of items in outgoing shipping activities.
  • Supervise inventory control, minimize stock loss, and manage stock rotation and expiry dates.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes in staffing, organizational structure, hours of operation, and other operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and schedules related to stock handling and record maintenance.
  • Assess existing equipment and recommend replacements or upgrades to maximize handling efficiency and meet future technological needs.
  • Implement security procedures for warehouse operations.
  • Evaluate subordinate staff performance and oversee recruitment, training, and discipline.

To excel in this role, you will require at least 2 years of relevant warehouse, import, and export logistics experience. You must be able to provide outstanding customer service and have a current forklift license. Previous warehouse management experience is also required.
