Vehicle Fleet Manager Position Overview

This key role involves overseeing the entire vehicle fleet, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealerships and suppliers to secure optimal pricing and services.
  • Manage traffic citations, accident reports, and policy enforcement for fleet units.
  • Monitor fuel card usage and generate reports to facilitate accurate accounting.
  • Verify fleet invoice accuracy and collaborate with accountants on payments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintaining an accurate register of vehicles, including driver details, registration, and kilometers recorded.
  • Liaising with branches on repairs and maintenance of existing vehicles.
  • Recommendations for ute and trailer setups based on operational needs, payload requirements, and terrain.
  • Processing registrations, road user charges, fuel cards, tolls, and fines.
  • Quality control of delivered vehicles and supplier follow-up for issues identified.
Qualifications Required:
  • Self-motivated individual able to work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in fleet management, procurement, or workshop operations.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills; ability to assess situation, evaluate options, and select best solution.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel pivot tables and vlookup, and PowerBi.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract required.
