About Us

Kinchela Boys Home Aboriginal Corporation (KBHAC) is a Not-for-Profit, Aboriginal community-controlled organisation established to help restore and reconstruct the identity, dignity, and integrity of Aboriginal men who were forcibly removed from their families and put into Kinchela Boys Home (KBH). We address intergenerational trauma affecting the lives of Stolen Generations Survivors, their families, and descendants.

About the Role

We are seeking a First Nations person to fill a key leadership position within our organisation. As a Programs Coordinator/Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the management, supervision, and professional development of KBHAC Program Managers and Team Leaders.
  • Leading the development, evaluation, and expansion of new and existing programs aligned with KBHAC's mission and values.
  • Ensuring continuous quality improvement, compliance, and reporting for all programs.
  • Collaborating with KBHAC's Leadership Team to contribute to strategic planning, operational management, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

As a Programs Coordinator/Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing program strategies to achieve KBHAC's goals and objectives.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, partners, and funders.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to Program Managers and Team Leaders to ensure the effective delivery of programs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating program performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes as needed.

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and community needs.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
