About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Solutions Analyst to join our IT team, working from our Sydney office. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, reflecting the company's commitment to attracting top talent.

Job Description

The successful candidate will act as the intermediary between end-users and IT, ensuring that business requirements are delivered through effective solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with users and architects to define project requirements and design optimal solutions;
  • Gathering and analysing end-user requirements through user group meetings;
  • Developing functional specifications for system enhancements and developments;
  • Producing technical specifications to communicate user requirements to analyst programmers and project teams;
  • Recommending suitable software packages based on system analysis and data evaluation;
  • Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure efficient, functional, and user-friendly systems;
  • Preparing training materials and providing assistance to end-users post-implementation;
  • Participating in project teams responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new ones;
  • Performing analytical assignments as required by IT management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills and experience in evaluating equipment and software options, as well as a good understanding of the hospitality IT systems environment. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is essential, along with at least 5 years of experience in software administration and implementation, including 3 years in systems specification and design.
