About the Job

We are seeking an experienced legal professional to join our team and provide expert advice on a broad range of legal, legislative, and policy issues.

  • Provide timely expert legal, legislative, and policy advice to senior executives and government officials.
  • Undertake complex legal and policy analysis, including formulation and evaluation of legislative proposals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support decision-making and policy development.

This role requires adaptability, resilience, and agility, as well as experience in one or more areas such as privacy, environmental, commercial, and/or public law. You must have legal qualifications and admission or eligibility for admission as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of NSW.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert legal, legislative, and policy advice to senior executives and government officials.
  • Undertaking complex legal and policy analysis, including the formulation and evaluation of legislative proposals.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to support decision-making and policy development.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Legal qualifications and admission or eligibility for admission as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of NSW.
  • Adaptability, resilience, and agility.
  • Experience in one or more areas such as privacy, environmental, commercial, and/or public law.
  • A strong ability to exercise professional judgment on diverse legal, legislative, and policy issues with a high level of authority.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide accurate, clear advice in short time frames.
