**Job Title:** Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our team as Disability Support Specialists in Caboolture on a part-time basis. If you have a genuine commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities, and are flexible to work various shifts between the hours of 7:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, we would love to hear from you.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to people with disabilities to participate in flexible learning programs, recreation, and social activities aligned to their NDIS goals.
  • Help individuals achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills, and budgeting.
  • Assist with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
  • Support with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community connection through socialising and going on outings.
  • Provide support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies, or accompanying to an appointment.
  • Help the people we support maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
  • The capacity to meet the physical requirements as some manual handling tasks may be involved.
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Holding or willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
