Job Description

Western Australia's top university is seeking a highly qualified professional to join its team in teaching and research. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a new Master of Professional Psychology program, working closely with colleagues to design and deliver courses that meet the needs of the future psychology workforce.

This role involves providing academic leadership and guidance to students, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with placement agencies to ensure high-quality learning experiences for students. The successful applicant will also be responsible for contributing to the administration, operation, and promotion of the program.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of courses within the Master of Professional Psychology program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with placement agencies to ensure high-quality learning experiences for students.
  • Provide academic guidance and support to students.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Masters or Doctoral degree qualification in Psychology.
  • General registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Approval as a supervisor for higher degree psychology trainees by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA), or the capacity to achieve supervisor status.
  • Experience in mentoring junior colleagues, demonstrators, and tutors.
  • Commitment to increasing Aboriginal peoples' roles in improving health and wellbeing in their communities.
