Infrastructure Project Manager: Design and Delivery Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Development Manager to join our team at AusNet Services.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects, leveraging your expertise in design and delivery to drive optimised outcomes within existing planning guidelines.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with project streams and delivery partners to manage design and delivery inputs to the environmental planning approvals process;
- Interacting with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and industry experts to secure support for projects;
- Oversight of design scope change requests and stage gating, including risk identification, documentation, and mitigation;
- Providing regular progress reports to stakeholders and management, tracking against project plans;
- Development of input for management papers, Board papers, and commercial negotiations;
- Ensuring compliance with commercial, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including health and safety, landowner agreements, planning consents, and insurance;
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 10 years' experience in project management, preferably in infrastructure or energy, with a focus on planning and approval processes;
- A tertiary qualification in engineering is preferred but not essential;
- Excellent organisational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a high EQ to interact with diverse stakeholder groups;
- Strong writing and editing skills, with comfort working across different media, including presentations, correspondence, and email;
- Commercial and financial acumen, with attention to detail and a focus on compliance;
- Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary internal and external resources;
