We are seeking a highly skilled Project Development and Delivery Expert to join our team at AusNet Services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, particularly in the infrastructure or energy sectors. A strong background in planning and approvals processes is highly valued.

The role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including delivery partners, to ensure the successful design and delivery of projects within existing guidelines. This includes:

  • Collaborating with the Planning and Environmental team to obtain support from planning, regulatory, and industry bodies.
  • Oversight of design scope change requests and stage gating with technical teams and AEMO.
  • Identifying, documenting, and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Consulting with key internal stakeholders, including project streams, commercial, project finance, and legal teams, to achieve project priorities and deadlines.
  • Providing regular progress reports on timelines, cost, risk assessments, and project finance, tracking against project plans.
  • Development of required input for management papers, Board papers, and commercial negotiations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all commercial, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including Health, Safety & Environment, landowner agreements, planning consents, and insurance.

About You:

You are a results-driven professional with excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management in Infrastructure or Energy (Planning and Approval experience a plus).
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering is preferred.
  • A high level of organizational skills and demonstrated effectiveness handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, managing timeframes, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • A strong motivated communicator with a high degree of emotional intelligence (EQ) to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and comfort working across different media, including presentations, correspondence, and email.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with high attention to detail and a focus on compliance.
  • Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary internal and external resources.
