Job Title: Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced wastewater treatment plant operator to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and housekeeping of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate process pumps, motors, blowers, and other wastewater treatment equipment
  • Taking samples of sewage, effluents, and sludge
  • Performing routine laboratory tests, including sludge settling, centrifuge, and chlorine residual analysis
  • Cleaning treatment plant structures and equipment
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Five years of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a wastewater treatment facility for TPO CLASS A - WW
  • Three years of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a wastewater treatment facility for TPO CLASS B - WW
  • One year of documented hands-on experience working on-site in a wastewater treatment facility for TPO CLASS C - WW
  • Valid Florida driver's license and active Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Class A, Class B, or Class C Wastewater Plant Operator's license
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work planned and unplanned overtime and standby duties on a rotational basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in cold, dampness, heat, high humidity, dusty conditions, moving objects or vehicles, noisy conditions, at heights above/below ground level, below ground level, with chemicals or solvents, electricity, feet, legs or hands in water, fumes, smoke, gases or flames, grease, hazardous materials, lawn grasses, plants, odors, oils, poor lighting, poor ventilation, vibrations
