Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated paralegal professional to provide effective support to our barristers and wider team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong 'can-do' approach, excellent time management skills, and a high standard of attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting correspondences, pleadings, responses, and discoveries.
  • Managing office operations and providing support to the wider legal team.
  • Conducting research, gathering facts, and retrieving information.
  • Understanding dictation and transcription processes, including shorthand and speed building.
  • Creating court forms and preparing for trials.
  • Hard copy document management, including creating briefs and managing personal diaries.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously and as part of a team, delivering exceptional experiences and contributing to the company's success.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in practice management, legal executive assistance, or a related field.
  • Prior experience or a strong interest in law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedure, including obligations and requirements for clients and third parties.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

An estimated salary of AU$85,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, based on the job description and location, is available for the right candidate.
