Business Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Trainee to join our team. This is a full-time position available for at least 12 months with potential for ongoing employment upon completion.

The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in a supportive environment, whilst studying towards a Certificate III in Business.

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Business Trainee will undertake reception duties and provide administrative support to the team.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Financial Processing:
  • Entering invoices into an accounting system
  • Reconciliation of accounts ensuring compliance with taxation requirements
  • Assisting the Operations Manager and Finance Manager with other tasks as directed
  • Business Support:
  • Answering incoming phone calls and taking details of customer jobs
  • Booking jobs in through a management system
  • Assisting trades on jobs to liaise with customers when needed
  • Invoicing and creating Certificates of Completion
  • Maintaining office supplies and providing reception relief coverage
  • Assisting with records management processes

Key selection criteria include:

  • Able to work effectively within a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Aptitude for working with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Able to work accurately and neatly with an attention to detail
  • Able to use initiative
