Job Title

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Specialist to support our Bid Team in Newcastle, Australia.

The successful applicant will provide documentation support by developing documents IAW ASDEFCON templates, preparing quotations, interpreting tenders and cost estimates for works.

  • Proven experience with defence writing standards for bids and tenders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in supporting defence bids and proposals
  • Review and interpret tender documentation
  • Estimate labour, material, and subcontractor costs
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to clarify technical and commercial requirements

Candidates who have worked with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Commercial, WHS, and HR to develop compliant tender responses should apply.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Estimating, or Project Management (highly regarded)
  • Managed multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Good understanding of Australian and international engineering/manufacturing standards
  • A detailed understanding of contracts and how they're created would be beneficial
  • Experience in preparing and delivering competitive proposals
  • Candidates will need to be an Australian Citizen to apply

This role is suitable for candidates with relevant degree, diploma or certificate from an Australian Tertiary Institution, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
