Home Care Support Specialist

This role involves delivering client-centred care to individuals with acquired spinal cord injuries in their own homes.

As a dedicated member of our team, you will collaborate with skilled staff to provide flexible and responsive support where it is needed most.

You will have the opportunity to work across different areas, meet a variety of participants, and ensure high-quality support is consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transferring clients in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists as required
  • Providing personal care, including grooming, bathing, dressing, and dental hygiene
  • Assisting with toileting, bladder, and bowel management
  • Basic wound care and self-medication administration
  • Domestic support (meal preparation, household duties, and laundry)
  • Community access (driving to appointments and social activities)
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a fixed fortnightly roster (morning, afternoons, evenings, and overnights available)
  • Current driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • NDIS Workers Screening and Blue Cards
  • Relevant experience or qualifications
