Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, select, and execute appropriate sourcing strategies across all spend categories in collaboration with key business leaders and stakeholders.
  • People Management: Lead a team across the region, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to ensure the success of our procurement function.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential procurement risks, such as supply chain disruptions or price fluctuations, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Process Improvement: Implement, standardize, and manage procurement tools and systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular and detailed procurement reports that provide insights into spending patterns, supplier performance, and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Vendor Management: Manage key contracts and vendors across all spend areas, including consumables, MHE, electricity, capex, and labor hire.
  • Category Management: Develop and implement category management strategies to optimize spend, reduce costs, and improve supplier performance.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Coordinate M&A and integration activities related to sourcing and procurement.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or procurement (or similar) or equivalent procurement management experience, ideally within the warehousing and/or supply chain industries.
  • Experience: Impressive credentials as a strategic procurement professional with strong commercial acumen, experience in leading procurement teams in large, geographically dispersed, complex environments, and a track record of category management, procurement governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, proficiency in procurement software and other related IT systems, ability to think critically and innovatively to identify optimal procurement solutions, and tech-savviness with advanced systems and process knowledge.
