The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Support Engineer to join our team at Cochlear Limited. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing engineering support during the manufacture of our cochlear implant and external accessories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing team to ensure the smooth production of our products.
  • Analyze and resolve production problems to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to quality systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve manufacturing yields and quality.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in a similar engineering role, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Experience in manufacturing, test systems, process, or V&V roles would be highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
